- Enhancing the voice of your sector through your involvement: On NSTF committees, there is representation of each of the following membership sectors – Science Councils and Statutory Bodies, Higher Education, State-Owned Enterprises, Civil Society, Business, Government and Professional Societies.
- Your organisation will be supporting a credible, trustworthy non-profit company which undertakes community service projects:Â The following is a list of examples of these projects.
- Arranging platforms for top scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs to address young people (from Grade 9 to first year at tertiary institutions)
- Recognising top achievers in matric physical science and mathematics, and inspiring and assisting them
- Actively assisting unemployed young science graduates
- Providing bursary information and career guidance to school learners
- Managing bursary programmes
- Managing community projects based on innovative technologies
- Being a representative voice for the science, engineering and technology community
- Members can be involved in all NSTF Discussion Forums:Â There are 4 to 6 Discussion Forums per year. Topics cover issues pertinent to science, engineering and technology (SET) and innovation. They usually last one full day, with up to 10 expert speakers giving various perspectives on the topic. There is no registration fee for members. Members can also recommend experts from their organisations to be on the speaker panel for a particular topic.
- Free and unlimited placement of your SET-related news and events in the NSTF monthly e-newsletter:Â The newsletter goes to a national database of about 7000 individuals interested in SET.
- Free use of the popular bursary directory:Â The directory incorporates bursary details, and information for the youth. Your organisation can place bursary information directly online or the NSTF will enter and maintain the information on your behalf.
